All of webb townspeople are angry and out to get him. But when Emily learns that Clint has been released on parole, she returns to her Mindless reading for poolside or a plane for sure. Clint spends ten years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
A romantic suspense with so much more going on than a simple murder. This was listed tracsless a romance magazine as “romantic suspense” which I find erroneous. The key witness in his trial, Emily put Clint behind bars with her tearful testimony. Jun 03, Celeste tracelesa it really liked it. Overall the book was crazy but would make one kick-ass movie. His innocence also releases all the love she had for him and they become a team.

She is trcaeless to find a way to put him back where he belongs. He and Emily’s relationship seemed very sweet and I’d been anticipating their HEA all through the book.

I really liked the character of Clint, the wrongly convicted man. A gripping tale of too many lies, too many secrets, too many lives changed forever. Who are the bad guys or gals, hint, hint He is returning to the small town that falsely accused him of murder and the very person who was the main witness in his trial has returned to town.
Since both main characters are seeking justice, you would expect them to join forces at some time.
Emily WallaceClint Austin. I admit they were stuck between a rock and a hard place, what with the incriminating tape the police had, but I have never read about heroes who just let that stop them.
It’s hard to imagine how this couple could overcome febra past but this is fiction and the author made it work for me.
Clint Austins is accused and sentenced to serve time in one of Alabama’s roughest prison for a crime apparently “everyone” knew he did not commit. In Debra was honored as the first recipient of the esteemed L. Jan 13, Lhenry rated it really liked it.
Other tdaceless in the series. Many of the townspeople in the small Alabama town already know the truth, but they debea content to let Clint take the fall for the murder.
It takes some really horrific events happening to Clint before Emily starts to seek the truth. Jun 26, Sandy rated it it was ok. Emily is determined to send him back to prison where she is convinced that he belongs. Like most of Webb’s female leads, she is a bit annoying at first.
I really liked the character of Clint, the wrongly convicted man. Webb takes the reader on a ride that has you rooting for the “bad guy” and seeing just how life changing things can be when teenage rivalries fly out of control. Admittedly I did not read the blurb before starting it so that’s my fault. She was constantly emotionally unstable, even as new evidence arose, she would not want to think about it.
