All without having to subject the reader to all the gory details. Feehan condensed several weeks or even months or years of recuperation into the space of one week. Message received loud and clear: I’m not remotely angry or disgusted with the wasted hours I spent with this book.

In the real world if an undercover cop gets caught by the bad guys what are the odds he will come out of it with minor scratches? This book would get 0 stars if that was possible.
