Which means that the tight white T-shirt could very well have been meant for me.

The great thing is that he knew he needed AA and burrough though he stopped going and fell off the wagon, he got himself back to recovery. The only subject discussed at length is Augusten Burroughs and all of his tedious relationships.

Augusten Burroughs has written a lot of memoirs, most famously Running with Scissors, but this one’s a bit different since it’s mostly an adaptation of a diary he was keeping at the time.

He is an amusing mess! This one has a great, bulky climax: I’d recommend it even if one is not going through recovery. This takes a great toll. Or actually, any friends. If you touched it, it would probably make a solid knocking sound, like wood. I liked this more than Running with Scissors. Dry was written before Running With Scissorsbut was published second. What made this story interesting for me was the way he narrated his excruciating battle with alcoholism, that even someone who doesn’t suffer from that ailment can actually empathize with him.
